I admit that it doesn’t look like I have been doing very much work the last few days. A lot of what I’ve done is hard to notice from the outside. The exception to this was adding my first post on my new blog, but even this was mainly to see how it would look on the site.
So here’s what I’ve been doing:
-Reading similar blogs
-Setting up mobile accounts for everything I am using- Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, WordPress, and new email account
-Jotting down every idea that comes to mind for new blog posts
-Taking relevant pictures with my iPhone for content
-Formatting website things, like social media link buttons, menu options, commenting, and contact info
-Creating actual content, coming soon
-OK, I’ll admit it, goofing off. Sorry! I got a new charcoal grill for my birthday!
Needless to say, a lot of the early formative work in blogging is dry and technical. It takes a while to figure out, too, so I’ve spent another eight hours or so in the last two day, with very little visibly to show for it. No wonder so many bloggers get burned out before they start making money.
I’m going to dedicate today to creating content for GreenUrb.com, the meat and potatoes of blogging. My next post here will detail my techniques for SEO blogging, and how I will promote each post.
